Terms of Service
Draft — not legal advice — pending review by a lawyer. This page describes how the product works today; the reviewed text will replace it before the service is sold.
The ground rules for using Freqwise: what it is and is not, the free tier and paid plans, how to cancel, and what we each agree to.

Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and Readback Labs SRL, [registered address to be confirmed] (“we”). By creating an account or using Freqwise, you agree to them.
What the service is
Freqwise is a training aid for practising aviation radio communication with a simulated controller. It is not approved training and is not for real-world operations. The training disclaimer is part of these terms.
It does not replace official instruction, current aeronautical publications, the instructions of air traffic control, or your instructor's judgement. Where they differ from anything here, they are right.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give an email address you can receive mail at. We use it to sign you in and to tell you about changes.
- The minimum age for an account is to be confirmed in legal review.
Free tier and plans
- The free tier is the Foundations section and the first unit of the Controlled aerodrome section of the course, with no time limit and no card.
- Pro opens every lesson of the course as it exists and grows. Its price, the renewal interval and what it includes are shown on the pricing page and again before you pay. Prices are currently under test and may change for new subscriptions; a change never applies to a period already paid, and we tell existing subscribers before it applies to their next renewal.
- The service is still developing. Features may change, pause or be removed, it may be unavailable at times, and a session may end unexpectedly. We will not remove what a paid plan is sold as during a period you have paid for.
Using it fairly
Use the service as the acceptable use policy describes. We may suspend an account that breaks it, and will tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.
Checks and scores
Checks are made by fixed rules on the text recognised from your speech. Speech recognition can mishear, and the scoring rubric is still being calibrated. Marks, scores, ranks and stamps describe practice in this product; they are not a proficiency rating, a qualification or evidence of competence, and must not be presented as one.
What you send us
You keep any rights in what you say or write to the service. You allow us to process it only as needed to run the service, as described in the privacy policy and AI and data processing.
What is ours
The software, exercises, practice airfield, texts and design belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own training through the service, not copy, resell or redistribute them.
Subscriptions, payment and cancellation
- A subscription starts when you complete payment and renews automatically every month at the price shown, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; VAT is added where it applies.
- You can cancel at any time from Plan and billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- Refunds and your statutory right of withdrawal are set out in billing, cancellation and refunds. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.
- If a payment fails, the payment provider retries it for a limited time; if it still fails, the plan ends and the free tier remains.
Flight schools and organisations
- An organisation plan is bought by an owner or admin of the organisation, per student seat. Instructors and admins do not take a seat. The organisation is responsible for whom it adds and for the seats it buys.
- The organisation is the controller of the training data its instructors and admins see; we process it on its behalf under a data processing agreement (template).
- An organisation plan does not make the service approved training for any licence or rating.
Responsibility and liability
The service is provided for practice. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or interruptions.
The limits of our liability are to be drafted in legal review. Nothing in these terms will limit liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account yourself from Account → Delete my account; that also cancels any subscription. We may end the service or an account with notice, except where immediate action is needed for security or legal reasons; if we end a paid plan for a reason that is not your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the period.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by [governing law to be confirmed].
We will publish changes here with their date and tell account holders about material changes before they take effect.
